In a simple phrase, a device is a tool made up of different components, while a gadget is a tool or application that can improve your experience on a computer or mobile device. A device is a new hardware device or accessory, often expensive and relatively unknown, that makes your life or the use of another device easier or more enjoyable. Nowadays, if new smartphones or tablets are released to the market, most people describe it as a “device”.
